Porthoustock

Porthoustock was a gem amongst Cornish villages in the years before the quarries came; however, quarry operations have recently commenced after many years, with a new jetty and this has improved the appearance of the beach. The village also has the Old Lifeboat House and around the turn of the century, the local men were true heroes in their attempts to save many a life from the shipwrecks on the Manacles a formation of rocks off the coast at Godrevy Cove near Rosenithon.

Giant's Quoits

This is a large formation of rocks which had stood for hundreds of years at Manacles Point and was re-sited to its present position in 1967 due to the expansion of workings at the nearby quarry.
